France Télévisions picks up rights for Paris Masters, ATP World Tour Finals

Public-service broadcaster France Télévisions has bolstered its tennis coverage by acquiring rights to men’s ATP events the Paris Masters and World Tour Finals.

Under the agreements, France Télévisions will broadcast the final of the Paris Masters in 2017 and 2018. Pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus holds the full live rights to the tournament, which this year takes place from October 30 to November 5 with Britain’s Andy Murray reigning champion.

France Télévisions will also cover the final of the World Tour Finals, which takes place annually at The O2 in London. Pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports holds the full live rights to the end of season finale.

Laurent-Eric Le Lay, director of sports for France Télévisions, said, according to French newspaper L'Équipe: “The challenge is to make tennis live beyond Roland-Garros. It is also an opportunity to offer additional exposure to French players.”
