Pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports Australia has renewed its long-running media-rights agreement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts series.
The deal was first reported by TV Sports Markets on August 4. The length of the new agreement was not disclosed.
Fox Sports Australia will continue to deliver live events to Foxtel subscribers, as well as magazine programming and archived events. The Foxtel Now streaming service will also provide coverage of events.
Foxtel’s Main Event channel will continue to deliver live and encore pay-per-view events, along with live UFC content for subscribing Foxtel and Fox Sports venues.
Fox Sports Australia is currently in the 10th year of its partnership with UFC.
Last month, the UFC agreed a new rights deal in Australia with IPTV provider Fetch TV. The length of the deal was not disclosed.
