Four Hills lands new presenting sponsor

Polish sportswear manufacturer 4F has been unveiled as the new presenting sponsor of the Four Hills Tournament, the ski jumping showpiece otherwise known as the Vierschanzentournee.

The four-year deal will run until the 2021-22 season. 4F will replace German automotive manufacturer Audi in the role. Audi’s three-year deal expired following the 2017-18 edition of the tournament, which comprises four events in Germany and Austria.

4F will be integrated into the official event logo, with the company to also receive extensive exposure at all four tournament events on LED boards, the coach’s tower, jump-off platform, start backdrop, exit gate and hot air balloon.

During the final Four Hills event in Bischofshofen, 4F’s logo will feature on athlete bibs, as well as on the leaderboard and backdrop of the awards ceremony. Hospitality packages and further promotion and activation rights will also be granted.

Last year’s Four Hills Tournament reached a cumulative television audience of 74 million, more than a third of which came from Poland after home favourite Kamil Stoch (pictured) became only the second man, after German ski jumping legend Sven Hannawald in 2002, to claim the Four Hills grand slam with victories in Germany (Oberstdorf and Partenkirchen) and Austria (Innsbruck and Bischofshofen).

The 4F deal was brokered by the Infront agency, the rights holder for the tournament and official marketing partner of the German and Austrian Ski Federations for the event.

4F managing director Igor Klaja said: “In addition to our existing sponsorships, the Vierschanzentournee, being the most prestigious ski jumping event, represents for us the perfect platform to promote our brand throughout Europe. This partnership reflects our plans and ambitions to truly become a globally recognised brand.”

4F is an existing sponsor of the Polish Olympic Committee, the Polish Ski Federation and the Polish Biathlon Association.
