Japanese tyre manufacturer Falken has extended its sponsorship deal with Rugby Australia, the country’s governing body for rugby union.
Falken has signed a new two-year deal with the body and will continue to serve as an official partner of Australia’s men’s national team.
Falken will receive signage rights at domestic Test match venues as part of the agreement, while it will also be granted corporate hospitality packages for key customers and retail partners.
Falken 914 rugby balls will also be developed as part of an agreement with sports equipment and apparel manufacturer Gilbert. The strong grip balls feature Falken’s tyre tread.
Peter Sciberras, general manager of commercial partnerships for Rugby Australia, said: “An ongoing focus for us is to grow the game's fan base through sponsor activities, retail channels and on match day so we’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Falken Tyres who will help us do exactly that.”
