Extreme Fighting Championship signs global distribution partnership

African mixed martial arts promotion the Extreme Fighting Championship has appointed television content group Inverleigh as its exclusive worldwide rights distribution partner.

The four-year agreement will cover the distribution of EFC event broadcast rights and non-live content, including archive programming.

The deal will also include ‘The Fighter’, a new reality television series in which 10 undefeated contenders compete for a professional contract and an EFC title fight. The first series is currently in production.

The EFC produces over 80 hours of new content each year. In 2017, the series was broadcast in more than 120 countries worldwide.

EFC president Cairo Howarth said: “Given their expansive network of broadcast partners, Inverleigh provides a great opportunity to build the global audience for EFC and raise greater awareness for the EFC brand, athletes and partners.

“We see great growth potential for EFC, and we see this partnership as an important step in the next phase of our growth.”
