Eurosport ventures into apparel market

International sports broadcaster Eurosport has partnered with sportswear manufacturer Tenn Outdoors to launch a range of technical cycling clothing for the UK market.

The Eurosport GC Collection is available in male and female styles and is aimed at all levels of cyclists. It marks the first time that Eurosport has produced a branded clothing range for the consumer market in the UK.

The range will feature Eurosport branding and will include jerseys, bib shorts, globes, jackets, caps, gilets, socks and drinking bottles. Retail prices for jerseys will start at £46 (€53/$65), bib shorts will cost £66 and gloves are priced at £20. Products can be purchased exclusively via the Tenn Outdoors website.

Eurosport is a leading cycling broadcaster and holds rights to the sport’s three Grand Tours – the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España.

Ian Woods, vice-president of sales – international consumer products for Eurosport, said: “Cycling is a hugely popular pastime in the UK and, with Eurosport’s heritage in the sport, it is a natural progression for us to further engage fans of our brand and our cycling coverage by giving them the opportunity to purchase high quality clothing designed by cyclists, for cyclists.”
