Eurosport serves up Geneva Open deal

Pan-European broadcaster Eurosport has secured television and digital rights for the new ATP Geneva Open men’s tennis event.

The three-year deal runs from 2015 to 2017 and is related to all 54 territories covered by Eurosport in Europe. Eurosport will hold exclusive rights in these territories, with the exception of the event’s home market, Switzerland.

The Geneva Open will be played at the Tennis Club de Genève at the Parc des Eaux-Vives from May 17-23 and replaces the now defunct Dusseldorf Open on the ATP World Tour’s 250 series.

Switzerland’s 2014 Australian Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka has committed to playing at the first three editions of the clay court event.
