Eurosport extends Tour de France rights deal

International sports broadcaster Eurosport has extended its long-running rights deal for the Tour de France ‘Grand Tour’ cycling event.

The four-year agreement will cover the 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 editions of the event.

Eurosport will broadcast live coverage of each stage of the race on an exclusive basis in 38 countries. These include Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Sweden, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Eurosport will show the first 75 minutes from each stage exclusively in a number of other European markets.

The agreement also includes rights to ‘Monument’ events the Paris-Roubaix and Liège-Bastogne-Liège, as well as the Flèche Wallonne, Paris-Nice, Critérium du Dauphiné, Paris-Tours and GP Francfort International Cycling Union (UCI) WorldTour races.

Coverage of all events will be available on Eurosport’s television channels, as well as the Eurosport Player live streaming and on-demand platform.

Eurosport has broadcast each edition of the Tour de France since 1991.

Eurosport brokered the latest rights deal with the European Broadcasting Union consortium of public-service broadcasters and Amaury Sport Organisation, the organiser of the Tour.
