ESPN renews ATP World Tour rights in Latin America, Caribbean

International sports broadcaster ESPN has extended a rights deal in Spanish-speaking Latin America and the Caribbean for the ATP World Tour, which operates the professional circuit of men’s tennis.

The deal with the ATP Media division of the tour will run for five years, from 2016 to 2020.

The agreement covers all nine top-tier Masters 1000 events and the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals.

Under the terms of the new agreement, ESPN’s rights will be exclusive on pay-television and digital platforms.

“ESPN has played an integral role in allowing us to introduce, and make the ATP World Tour accessible to over one billion viewers worldwide,” ATP Media chief executive Mark Webster said. “There is an ever expanding appetite for the ATP World Tour amongst Spanish-speaking Latin America and the Caribbean and we look forward to evolving the viewing experience in these territories across the next five years.”
