Eleven seals extended NBA deal in Taiwan

International sports broadcaster Eleven Sports has renewed an agreement for rights in Taiwan to the NBA basketball league.

The new five-year deal will ensure NBA coverage continues to be shown on Eleven Sports via cable television and through the broadcaster’s OTT platform.

Eleven has been airing three live games per week since the beginning of the current NBA season.

As well as regular-season games, Eleven will show live action from the NBA Playoffs, All-Star Game, Conference Trials and Finals, along with the NBA Draft, NBA Awards and NBA Summer League. Coverage also includes the NBA Action magazine show.

Earlier this year, Eleven struck a rights deal in Taiwan with Fiba, basketball’s global governing body. The agreement will run for five years, from 2017 to 2021.

Under the deal, Eleven Sports will show live and exclusive coverage of the 2017 Asia Cup, the 2019 World Cup and the 2021 Asia Cup.
