Eleven appoints managing director for Singapore arm

International sports broadcaster Eleven Sports Network has appointed Shalu Wasu as its managing director for Singapore.

Wasu (pictured) assumes the role immediately and will report directly to group managing director Danny Menken. Wasu replaces outgoing Asia managing director Joyee Biswas.

Simone Kang, Eleven’s general manager for Taiwan, will now also report directly to Menken following the reshuffle.

Menken said: “Shalu will help drive Eleven forward with a key focus on further expanding our subscriber base and engaging with more sports fans in Singapore.”

Wasu recently stepped down from his position as managing director at social data analytics company Circus Social, which he co-founded in 2012. He has been based in Singapore since 2004.
