Eintracht Frankfurt recruits new main sponsor, extends with banking partner

German Bundesliga football club Eintracht Frankfurt has secured job search engine Indeed as its new main sponsor, while it has also extended its partnership with banking group Helaba.

Indeed’s three-year deal with the club will cover the 2017-18 to 2019-20 seasons. The agreement includes the first team, as well as the club’s youth, women’s and girls’ teams

Axel Hellman, member of the board at Eintracht, said: “As a modern, high-growth traditional club, our goal was to find a main sponsor with which we can tackle the major issues for the Bundesliga in the future, such as digitisation and internationalisation. We are delighted to have found this strong partner Indeed. We want it to open even more the many possibilities of the digital age.

“Indeed has tremendous expertise in this area and we are confident that we will benefit from it. In addition, we want to further raise the profile of Eintracht Frankfurt at the international level and in particular in the US. Our new main sponsor is the most successful job portal – not just in the US but worldwide – and knows events in many different markets very well.”

Meanwhile, Helaba has agreed a deal to continue as a premium partner of Eintracht for the 2017-18 season. Helaba will then be replaced in the role by Frankfurter Sparkasse, its subsidiary, for a two-year period covering the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.

Frankfurter Sparkasse has been a partner of the club since 2014.

In other news, Eintracht’s Bundesliga rival VfB Stuttgart has extended its partnership with fastening materials manufacturer Würth.

Stuttgart has agreed a new two-year deal with Würth, which will continue to serve as an exclusive partner of the club.

Würth will benefit from TV-visible brand exposure and on-site activation as part of the agreement. The company will also retain naming rights to the Würth Soccer Lounge business suite at Stuttgart’s Mercedes-Benz Arena stadium.

The 2017-18 campaign will mark Stuttgart’s return to the top-tier Bundesliga, with the club having finished top of the 2.Bundesliga table last season following relegation in 2015-16.
