7Sports, the sports business division of German commercial broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 Group, has acquired rights to the annual beach volleyball tour operated by the German Volleyball Federation (DVV).
The multi-year deal will commence with the 2018 season and will grant selected tour games free-to-air television exposure via the ProSieben Maxx channel, along with wider live streaming across the Ran.de and Sportdeutschland.tv platforms.
The tour will take on a new name for its 2018 season following the extension of a sponsorship deal with health insurance group Techniker Krankenkasse.
After five years as a premium partner, TK has taken on title sponsorship in a deal that will see the series renamed as the Techniker Beach Tour.
