DSport picks up rights to The Open

Indian pay-television broadcaster DSport has secured rights to golf’s Open Championship, the 2017 edition of which gets underway tomorrow (Thursday).

DSport said it has acquired rights to the event on a “long-term” basis.

This year’s Open Championship, one of golf’s four major tournaments, is taking place at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England.

DSport will broadcast live coverage of the event, which concludes on Sunday.

Anirban Lahiri and Shiv Kapur are among the Indian golfers set to compete at this year’s event.
