Engineering and infrastructure group Downer has been unveiled as the title sponsor of this year’s World Club Challenge rugby league match.
The match will this year be contested by Australian NRL premiers Melbourne Storm and English Super League champion Leeds Rhinos at Melbourne’s AAMI Park on February 16.
The event will officially be known as the Downer World Club Challenge. Downer will benefit from a range of ground signage on the goal post pads and team shirts, as well as promotion during the television broadcast of the match and in event-related media.
Downer is also title sponsor of NRL pre-season tournament the Auckland Nines.
