Crystal Palace signs Chinese app to sleeve sponsor role

English Premier League football club Crystal Palace has agreed a multi-year deal with Dongqiudi to make the Chinese football app its first-ever shirt sleeve sponsor.

Dongqiudi’s logo will feature on the left sleeve of the London club’s shirt in 2017-18, with the upcoming season being the first where Premier League clubs can advertise on this area of the kit.

Premier League club and league representatives agreed to allow sleeve badge sponsors starting from the 2017-18 season in November 2016. The sponsor logos will be a maximum size of 10cm x 10cm. The Premier League badge will remain on the opposite sleeve of the shirts.

In addition, Dongqiudi will feature on the front of the shirt for the Premier League Asia Trophy which begins tomorrow (Wednesday) with Palace taking on Liverpool at the Hong Kong Stadium.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish said: “Dongqiudi’s platform gives us a fantastic opportunity to promote Crystal Palace in China whilst giving their brand exposure to the club’s growing international following and the wider global Premier League audience.”

Palace last month agreed a multi-year deal to make international gaming company ManBetX its new main shirt sponsor.

In what is a record breaking deal for the club, the ManBetX logo will feature across Palace’s shirt and be promoted as main sponsor across all its media channels online and offline, in the UK and internationally.
