Corinthians goes to school with new shirt sponsor

Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football club Corinthians has agreed a shirt sponsorship deal with Minds English School.

Under the agreement, the language school operator’s branding will feature on the sleeves of Corinthians’ jerseys. The one-year deal will run until early 2018.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but the Maquina do Esporte website reported that the deal would be worth less than R$2m (€592,000/$622,000).

The club will wear the Minds-branded shirts for the first time on January 18, when it will face Vasco da Gama or Ecuadorian Serie A side Barcelona in the Florida Cup in Orlando.

Minds will receive promotion across Corinthians’ social media channels, while the partnership will also grant benefits to club employees, players and supporters.

Minds operates more than 70 English schools across Brazil and celebrates its 10-year anniversary in 2017. It will join Caixa, Nike and TIM in receiving exposure on Corinthians’ shirt.
