Charles Schwab links up with PGA Championship

Investment services firm Charles Schwab has been unveiled as a sponsor of the PGA Championship, one of golf’s four men’s majors.

Charles Schwab will serve as the official wealth management firm of the PGA of America and the PGA Championship as part of the deal, which covers the 2018 to 2020 editions of the event.

The partnership will see a range of interactive activities launched for spectators, along with instructional online content.

“As a long-term supporter of the game of golf, we believe this relationship with the PGA of America and its teaching professionals aligns well with the passions and interests of our clients,” Derek Benbow, managing director of corporate sponsorships at Charles Schwab, said. “Schwab celebrates those who work hard, overcome challenges, and pursue their dreams – and we find some of the best examples of such individuals in sports like golf.”

This year’s PGA Championship takes place at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis from August 9-12. The 2019 event will be held at Bethpage Black in Long Island, New York, with the 2020 tournament scheduled for TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.
