CBS Sports renews rights to Army-Navy game

The CBS Sports division of US network CBS has retained rights to the annual American college football game between the US Military Academy and US Naval Academy.

The new long-term agreement becomes effective in 2019 and grants CBS Sports broadcast, cable and digital rights to the event until 2028.

CBS Sports will broadcast extensive programming of the event, including live on-site coverage of the march-on as part of the official pre-game activities. Archival programming and encore showings of the game will also be shown.

This year’s event will take place on December 9 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The game will be streamed on CBSSports.com and via CBS All Access, the network’s digital subscription video-on-demand and live-streaming service.

The deal also grants CBS Sports continued rights to the annual Army-Navy basketball match.
