Budapest’s faltering Olympic bid set for government meeting

Budapest’s Municipal Council has today (Wednesday) authorised Mayor Istvan Tarlos to discuss the city’s faltering bid for the 2024 summer Olympic and Paralympic Games with the national government and Olympic committee, but rejected an attempt to bring forward a potential referendum on the matter.
