UK pay-television broadcaster BT Sport has extended its rights deal with electric car-racing series Formula E.
BT Sport will offer subscribers in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Ireland an extended highlights programme from every round of the 2017-18 championship alongside Formula E’s official magazine show, Street Racers.
Formula E’s fourth season commences in Hong Kong on December 2-3. Commercial broadcaster Channel Five holds live rights in the UK under a two-season deal that is due to expire at the end of the forthcoming campaign.
Live UK rights in 2017-18 are held by commercial broadcaster Channel 5 and sports broadcaster Eurosport, which holds rights across Europe from 2017-18 to 2019-20.
