BT Sport adds rugby union to social media streaming initiative

UK pay-television broadcaster BT Sport has agreed to stream part of its ‘Rugby Tonight’ rugby union magazine programme on social media platforms Facebook and Twitter.

BT Sport will stream the first quarter of the show on its official Facebook page and Twitter feed.

Rugby Tonight, which featured on social media for the first time yesterday (Thursday) evening, includes coverage of the English Premiership top-tier club competition.

Earlier this month, BT Sport agreed to begin live streaming its BT Sport Score football results service via Twitter.

Last year, BT Sport also streamed live coverage of the Uefa Champions League and Europa League finals on video-sharing website YouTube, as well as on its official website and mobile application.
