International business and recruitment services provider Brunel has agreed a deal to sponsor the Volvo Ocean Race sailing event.
Brunel will serve as the official human resources partner of the 2017-18 edition of the race, which is currently ongoing.
It marks the first time that Brunel has partnered with the event itself, having previously been involved with four team entries, including Team Brunel for this year’s race.
Brunel chief executive Jilko Andringa said: “Over the past 20 years the Volvo Ocean Race has provided us the opportunity to promote our specialised personnel services to a global audience through our partnership with teams in the event.
“Today, we are forging stronger ties with the event by becoming an official partner of the Volvo Ocean Race so we can provide our services and expertise to the race organisation ashore as well as provide our professionals and contractors with exciting opportunities.”
The 2017-18 race began in Alicante, Spain on October 22 and will finish in The Hague, Netherlands in June.
