BMC Racing lines up Tag Heuer as new sponsor

Swiss watch manufacturer Tag Heuer has agreed a deal to become a sponsor of UCI WorldTour cycling team BMC Racing for the 2017 season, according to the Cyclingnews.com website.

Although the deal has not yet been confirmed by the team, BMC Racing said that it will make a “special announcement” regarding its future prior to this year’s team time trial on October 8.

Swiss bike manufacturer BMC currently serves as title sponsor of the team, but Cyclingnews.com said the team could now be renamed BMC-Tag Heuer.

BMC Racing, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, received WorldTour status in 2011.
