BBC extends rights to Eastbourne tennis event

UK public-service broadcaster the BBC has extended a rights deal for the International Eastbourne Event, an annual grass-court tennis tournament that is staged in the lead-up to the Wimbledon Championships.

The BBC will continue to show live coverage of the event until at least 2024.

The BBC will broadcast coverage across its various television channels and will also stream live coverage of the competition via the BBC Sport website.

Serbia’s Novak Djokovic (pictured) won the men’s contest at this year’s Eastbourne Event, while Karolina Plíšková of the Czech Republic claimed victory in the women’s singles competition.
