BBC America grants US platform for darts showpieces

The BBC America division of the UK public-service broadcaster has acquired rights to the World Championship and Premier League darts tournaments.

The 2017-18 World Championship got underway yesterday (Thursday) at London’s Alexandra Palace venue. All 87 hours of the event, which runs through to January 1, will be shown on BBCAmerica.com.

BBC America will showcase weekly action on December 16, 23 and 30 from 9am to 12pm ET. On January 1, a pre-show will begin at 2pm ET before the final is shown from 3pm to 6pm.

The 2018 Premier League season begins on February 1, with BBC America’s coverage to include live shows and highlights. All matches will be streamed via bbcamerica.com/darts.
