Ballr adds Juventus to football portfolio

Italian Serie A football club Juventus has entered into a regional partnership with Ballr, an engagement technology company that specialises in fantasy sports.

The deal, the length of which was undisclosed, names Ballr as an official regional partner of Juventus in China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

Juventus said the partnership ties in with the club’s plans to raise its profile in the Asia-Pacific region, an area in which Ballr has a major presence.

Giorgio Ricci, Juventus’ co-chief revenue officer and head of global partnerships, said: “This regional partnership with Ballr is the latest proof of Juventus’ growth in high potential markets and demonstrates how the Bianconeri image and experience-centred assets can be attractive to supporters in Asia.”

Ballr operates a free fantasy sports game which allows users to connect and communicate in real time while events are taking place.

Last month, Ballr partnered with LaLiga, which operates the top two divisions of Spanish football. The company also has a regional sponsorship agreement in place with English Premier League side Manchester City.
