Cuban state broadcaster Instituto Cubano de Radio y Televisión has signed up as the first Latin American broadcast partner for the 2015 European Games, while organisers of the inaugural multi-sport event in Baku have agreed a partnership with the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC).
ICRT, Cuba’s free-to-air broadcaster, reaches 3.8 million households in the country, and is also Cuba’s official broadcaster of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
AZERTAC has agreed to become Baku 2015’s official news agency. AZERTAC will be the single largest Azerbaijani media organisation at Baku 2015. Its text and photographic content will be available in seven languages.
In addition, AZERTAC will produce a video news stream which will be available in Azerbaijani. All this content will be available via a dedicated Baku 2015 section on the agency’s website.
The 2015 European Games take place from June 12-28.
