Mobile telecommunications company OVO Mobile has enhanced its niche portfolio with the acquisition of global rights to Badminton Australia events.
Running for the next four years, the exclusive deal covers all Badminton Australia content across all platforms. OVO will exploit the rights on its streaming platform OVOPlay both in Australia and internationally.
Since launching in 2016, OVO has picked up rights to lower-tier, niche sporting events and properties.
Badminton Australia will be the latest acquisition in OVO’s portfolio which includes rights to the: FIA World Rally Cross Championship; FIM Superbike World Championship; Australian Esports League; Gymnastics Australia; Water Polo Australia; 400 Thunder Professional Drag Racing Series; and Formula Drift.
