Anta extends Chinese winter sports backing to Beijing 2022

Chinese sportswear company Anta has agreed a deal to sponsor the 2022 edition of the winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, which will take place in Beijing.

Anta will serve as the official partner of sports apparel for the Games’ local organising committee.

Anta will provide kit for the Chinese team and other athletes, with apparel to feature elements that showcase China’s national image.

Anta has partnered with the Chinese team during the last two Olympic cycles, and earlier this year agreed a deal to sponsor 13 of the country’s national winter sports teams.

The agreement, signed in April, runs from 2018 to 2022 and covers the following national teams: short track speed skating, speed skating, figure skating, curling, freestyle ski aerial skills, snowboard big air, snowboard slopestyle, snowboard parallel giant slalom, sledge, bobsled, skeleton, cross-country skiing and alpine skiing.

Beijing 2022 commenced its marketing programme in February. In July and August, Beijing 2022 announced domestic partnerships with the Bank of China, Air China and Yili Group as the official commercial banking partner, the official passenger air transportation services partner and the official dairy products partner, respectively.
