Altice scoops up EuroLeague, EuroCup rights

French telecommunications company Altice has acquired rights for the EuroLeague and EuroCup basketball tournaments.

The exclusive deal will cover Andorra, France, Monaco and Switzerland and will run for four seasons, from 2017-18 to 2020-21.

The rights will be exploited via pay-television broadcaster SFR Sport.

SFR Sport will show the best games from the regular season, as well as the Final Four.

SFR Sport is already a broadcaster of the ProA, ProB and Ligue Féminine domestic basketball tournaments, as well as games featuring France’s national men’s and women’s teams.

SFR Sport’s coverage of the EuroLeague will be broadcast on Thursday evenings from October 12, while its coverage of the EuroCup will begin on October 10 and will be available on Tuesdays or Wednesdays during the season.
