German financial services company Allianz has extended its partnership with SC Leipzig, which plays in the country’s top-tier Handball Bundesliga.
The deal will run through to 2021, with Allianz branding set to remain on Leipzig’s playing jerseys.
Allianz, which began its sponsorship of the club in the 2016-17 season, will also retain its role as the official insurer of the team.
The company will also continue to support Leipzig community initiatives, such as a project that allows local children to attend handball camps.
In addition, Leipzig winger Lucas Krzikalla will remain an Allianz brand ambassador.
