Sony Six picks up kickboxing series

Indian sports and entertainment pay-television channel Sony Six has acquired exclusive domestic rights for Glory World Series kickboxing events, according to the Indian Television news website.

Under the deal, Sony Six will show live events and archived footage of fights produced by the series.

The length of the agreement has not been disclosed.

Sony Six struck the deal with the Total Sports Asia agency, which is the series’ worldwide rights distribution partner.

The agency’s chief content officer, Julian Jackson, said: “Glory has exceeded all of our expectations in terms of broadcast coverage with us being in almost every country in the world with the ability to reach more than 550 million viewers.”
