XFL banking on cheap tickets to draw in fans

The revamped XFL is banking on affordable ticket prices to attract fans to its games and ensure that the spring-season American football league has long-term success.

Prices range from $20 to $100 per seat per game for all eight teams.

There are additional benefits for founding season-ticket holders, including a VIP field pass for one home game, 25 percent discount on merchandise at XFL.com, and VIP experiences throughout the year.

“The Los Angeles Wildcats are embracing a fan-first mentality with unparalleled access and a commitment to affordable ticket pricing,” said Los Angeles Wildcats president Heather Brooks Karatz. “LA Wildcats ticket pricing is unprecedented for professional football.”

The league, slated to restart play February 8, 2020, is also planning to introduce premium seating on the sidelines of its games through a new partnership with sports and entertainment consulting firm Elevate Sports Ventures.

Its inaugural player draft – to be held on October 15-16 – will have a digital media focus.
