The rebooted XFL has named The Action Network as its latest sports betting partner.
As part of the collaboration, the Chernin Group-owned sports betting content platform will become a preferred source of XFL betting analysis and information, and will provide sports betting content for the league’s website.
The Action Network will also develop multiple content features – including daily news from across the league, analysis of games and player performances, as well as expert picks and projections for both its own and XFL platforms. The Action Network’s talent will also appear in XFL’s betting-related content.
The Action Network will provide branded content on the XFL website and have rights to use certain league IP to promote the partnership across its platforms.
The XFL has been highly active in securing sports betting partnerships. Since the turn of the year, the league has signed deals with fantasy sports brand FanDuel, radio network iHeartRadio and sports betting network Vegas Stats & Information Network, fantasy sports provider DraftKings, sports data and technology company Genius Sports, and sports data and content company Sportradar.
Meanwhile, US television partners Fox, ABC and ESPN’s broadcasts of XFL games include gambling graphics and commentary.
It was also confirmed this week that TDECU Stadium in Houston will host the league’s championship game on April 26.
The Seattle Dragons are hoping to attract a 30,000-plus crowd for the team’s home opener at CenturyLink Field this weekend, having already sold 25,000 tickets. During the start-up spring-season league’s opening weekend, the four XFL games averaged attendances of around 17,000.
