Wowow renews rights to Australian Open

Japanese pay-television broadcaster Wowow has renewed its rights for the Australian Open tennis grand slam in a multi-year deal beginning in 2022.

For the 2022 tournament, Wowow will show 14 hours of coverage per day on its linear channels. For the first time, it will stream live coverage of matches from all 16 broadcast courts. The deal also includes rights for Australian Open lead-in events.
