Women’s World Cup hosts wants Fifa clarification over Visit Saudi sponsorship

The co-hosts of the 2023 Fifa Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand are calling for clarification on reports of a sponsorship agreement with Saudi Arabia’s tourism authority.

A report in The Athletic earlier this week indicated that a deal that makes Visit Saudi an official sponsor of the event is set to be announced. Following this, the co-hosts have written to Fifa asking the world governing body to “urgently clarify” the situation.
