VTV Olympic broadcasts threatened by financial curbs, Venezuelan president claims

Nicolás Maduro, the President of Venezuela, has said that 'financial persecution' risks the free-to-air broadcasting of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in the country.

In an address on television, Maduro stated that the prohibitions on Venezuelan foreign accounts had blocked the country's money transfers for media rights for Tokyo 2020.
