VTV secures last-minute Tokyo 2020 rights deal in Vietnam

Vietnamese state-run broadcaster VTV has acquired the broadcast rights for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on the eve of the Games.

In an announcement, VTV said it had reached an agreement with a 'partner' on a rights deal to show the Games on its linear television and digital platforms. This followed a substantial period of negotiation.
