State broadcaster Vietnam Television (VTV) has announced the acquisition of the media rights for this year's Fifa World Cup.
Local news service SGGP said VTV had finalised a deal for the rights worth around $14m ($14.2m). It is said to cover exclusive rights across linear television and digital platforms. Free-to-air linear channels VTV2 and VTV5 are expected to carry the bulk of the coverage.
