VisitScotland’s Bush outlines ‘perfect storm’ of economic factors facing hosting sector

Paul Bush, director of events at VisitScotland, the national tourism agency, has outlined a “perfect storm” of factors that threaten event hosts in the coming years amid the current macroeconomic factors.

Discussing the economic headwinds off the back of the Covid-19 pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Bush warned delegates here in Glasgow at the Host City conference this week of challenges that need to be understood and proactively worked through so that the events space can move forward.
