Victoria government to help cover Australian Open costs

Tennis Australia is in negotiations with state officials in Victoria on plans to cover the cost of the delayed Australian Open.

The first tennis major of the year is now scheduled to start on February 8 after an agreement was reached on measures to meet the strict Australian quarantine regulations for tennis players and their support for teams entering Australia.
