Vacant Ashes Test set for Tasmania

Cricket Australia has awarded the vacant Ashes Test to Hobart’s Blundstone Arena, marking the first time the series has set foot in the state of Tasmania.

CA last week launched a search for a new host for the concluding Test of the ongoing Ashes series against England after the decision to remove hosting rights from Perth’s Optus Stadium due to pandemic-related restrictions. The cricket board confirmed the new venue on Saturday.
