US Soccer, USWNT to ramp up pressure on Fifa over equal pay

The United States Soccer Federation and the US women’s national soccer team have vowed to ramp up the pressure on world governing body Fifa to introduce equal World Cup prize money after securing a landmark gender discrimination lawsuit.

It is hoped that the $24m (€21m) settlement deal will now spark broader change across the sport.
