The prestigious SheBelieves Cup invitational international women’s soccer tournament will be participated by the United States, England, Spain, and Japan from March 5-11 in the US.
In the tournament’s fifth consecutive year, the teams will take part in three doubleheader events at three different venues over a seven-day period: Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida; Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas; and Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. All three of the USA’s matches will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks and in Spanish on TUDN.
The tournament, which is organized by the United States Soccer Federation, will be accompanied by the third annual SheBelieves Summit, presented by Deloitte, which will be held on March 14 in Chicago, as well as other initiatives designed to “inspire, encourage and empower people to accomplish their goals.”
Elsewhere in US women’s soccer, James O’Connor has been hired as Louisville City’s executive vice president of development to build the club’s upcoming National Women’s Soccer League team “from the ground up into a top-level club.”
O’Connor is the former head coach at United Soccer League Championship team Louisville City and Major League Soccer team Orlando City. He will also look after Louisville City’s USL League 2 team and Academy programs.
