US consortium closing in on deal for FC Kaiserslautern stake

A consortium of US investors is in advanced discussions to acquire a 10-per-cent stake in German third-tier football side FC Kaiserslautern. 

Citing sources close to the deal, Bloomberg reports that a group led by Pacific Media Group co-founder Paul Conway and NewCity Capital chairman Chien Lee is closing in on a deal to invest in the team and that an agreement could be announced as early as next week.
