United-Liverpool, India-Pakistan drive Sky’s 4.5m viewing peak

UK pay-television broadcaster Sky Sports recorded its highest-ever day of viewing on Sunday as fans tuned into watch Premier League football, Formula 1’s US Grand Prix and cricket’s Men’s T20 World Cup.

Sky said that viewing figures peaked at 4.5 million at 5.50pm (BST) on Sunday, at which point the Premier League match between Manchester United and Liverpool and the T20 World Cup fixture between India and Pakistan were both taking place.
