UK unions ‘mull joint bid’ for 2031 Rugby World Cup

The four 'home unions' in the UK and Ireland are contemplating a joint bid for the 2031 Men’s Rugby World Cup after World Rugby launched the host selection process for both the 2027 and 2031 tournaments.

The English, Irish, Welsh and Scottish unions are considering the combined bid to rebuild their finances following the Covid-19 pandemic, The Guardian reports.
