UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that the government has placed its full support behind a proposed UK and Ireland bid for the 2030 Fifa World Cup, adding that England would be prepared to stage further matches at this summer’s rescheduled Uefa Euro 2020, if necessary.
