The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) and Uefa, football’s European governing body, have detailed plans for Argentina and Italy, the winners of their respective national team tournaments, to play each other in a one-off match during the June 2022 international window.
Uefa and Conmebol said the match will form part of the expansion of the cooperation between the two bodies, which includes women’s football, futsal and youth categories, the exchange of referees, and technical training schemes.
